What other people say about us
“I see the Community Hub at Number One Ferry Street, as the heart of Stapenhill. From the Food Bank and employability support to the bereavement help point, warm space, mother and toddler group and the wonderful Wednesday afternoon teas at Teapots, there is always something going on to meet the needs of the community.
As a Social Prescriber, it is my job to link people to activities in their community that will improve their well-being. Poor mental health affects so many but location and cost are often a barrier to linking people to appropriate activities or sources of support. I feel that the Community Hub provides something every day of the week, free and easily accessible to the people of Stapenhill.
I have witnessed the real difference that a connection with the Community Hub makes to local people’s lives. Connections are made, people feel that their community cares for them and lives are changed for the better.”
Carers & residents from our neighbours at the Croft said...
“Our residents from the Croft attend Teapots once a month. The kind, thoughtful staff, welcoming surroundings and delicious cakes make the experience an absolute highlight of their activity calendar. It is a nostalgic event that stimulates conversation and makes them feel special, we can’t thank the volunteers enough for their hard work and generosity.”
