We understand that coming along to a new place for the first time can be a daunting prospect. At The Community Church we do everything that we can to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible. On this page we hope that you find relevant information that will help you as you begin your journey with us.
What time does it start?
10.30am every Sunday
Where is the church?
Our Sunday gatherings are at Main Street, Burton upon Trent Staffordshire DE15 9AR
Where can you park?
There is plenty of road side parking on the streets around Main Street, we do ask that you avoid parking on Convent Close and Five Lands Road.
What should you wear?
Most people who attend are usually dressed in a casual manner, for example t-shirt & jeans. However, if you would like to wear your new suit or dress you are totally welcome!
Tea & Coffee
Our services will usually finish at around 12 noon which gives opportunity to stay around for coffee and a chat.
Welcome Event
We periodically run welcome events to give those who are new an opportunity to find out more and meet the Leadership Team. If you would like details of one of these, please contact us.
What should you expect?
Our morning services are always full of life. You can take a look at one of our past services here.
Our services start at 10.30, usually with some worship songs lead by one of our worship leaders and the worship band. There will always be someone leading the service who will explain the format for the morning.
Kid’s Church is for primary school aged children and happens every other week at No 1 Ferry Street. Click here for more information about Kid’s Church.
A number of different people preach at The Community Church. Everyone who preaches at TCC is a trusted member or friend of the church.
After the preach we will often give an opportunity to receive prayer. If you would like prayer, or want to know more about what it means to follow Jesus, this is a great time to speak to someone from the church – look out for people with ‘here to help’ lanyards on as they are people who will be able to help and pray with you if you would like.
And after that…well – we are done! If you are new, we will try and speak to you and make you feel welcome – please make yourself known to us – we’d love to get to know you more! There is also lots of useful information at our information desk.
There is always opportunity to give financially into the work of The Community Church. There is never any pressure to give but there are giving boxes at the front and back of the building.
Welcome Church
At TCC all are welcome, and all are invited to be part of our church family. We love to welcome those from other nations and have been especially blessed to welcome some asylum seekers into our church family recently.
We are aware of the potential for refugees and asylum seekers to experience feelings of loneliness, fear and isolation due to fleeing war or persecution. We want to do all we can to support you.
Please contact our office if you need help to find us or for help joining us on a Sunday morning.
